Winchester to host MLK Day celebration with march, breakfast, and keynote speaker
WINCHESTER, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Winchester will honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with a community celebration taking place Monday.
The event will be held at St. Agatha’s Gymnasium, located in the 200 block of South Main Street, and will feature multiple activities throughout the morning.
Organizers say the annual MLK Day march will begin at 9 a.m. in front of the Clark County Courthouse. Following the march, a community breakfast and program will begin at 10 a.m. at St. Agatha’s Gymnasium.
This year’s keynote speaker will be Dustin Howard, superintendent of the Clark County Public School System.
The event is open to the public, and everyone is encouraged to attend and take part in the celebration.
