Kentucky State Police investigate deadly shooting
METCALFE COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Kentucky State Police is investigating a deadly shooting that happened Wednesday morning in Metcalfe County.
According to the KSP, troopers were called around 9:30 a.m. to a home on Shady Grove Wickerville Road.
Troopers say 83-year-old Doris June Huffman of Hardyville was found dead inside the home from an apparent gunshot wound.
Investigators say her husband, 87-year-old Vander Huffman, was also found inside the residence suffering from what police believe was a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital, where he later died.
The investigation remains ongoing. No additional details have been released.
