Fayette County schools win two state titles at cheer and dance championships
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — The Fayette County Public Schools is celebrating after local schools brought home multiple honors at the state cheer and dance championships over the weekend.
According to the district, Frederick Douglass High School won a state championship in the cheer all-girls large division during the state cheer and dance championships held in Winchester.
Lafayette High School also captured a state title, winning the championship in the dance jazz division.
Meanwhile, Henry Clay High School earned state runner-up honors in both the dance and game day pom divisions.
District leaders praised the students for their hard work and dedication throughout the season.
