Kentucky PG Jaland Lowe out for the season
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — Kentucky point guard Jaland Lowe’s season is over. Head coach Mark Pope announced Monday night on his coaches’ show that the star guard will undergo shoulder surgery.
In nine games this season, Lowe averaged 8.0 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game. He also sparked major comebacks in the Wildcats’ wins over Indiana and St. John’s.
Lowe is expected to apply for a medical redshirt, which would allow him to retain two years of eligibility.
