Lexington Police investigate after home hit by gunfire on Jordan Avenue
LEXINGTON, KY — (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Lexington police are investigating after a home was struck by gunfire late Friday night.
Officers were dispatched just before 10 p.m. to the 100 block of Jordan Avenue after reports of shots fired in the area. According to police, a homeowner reported that multiple rounds went through the front door of the residence.
A Lexington Police Department forensics team responded to the scene to collect evidence, including several spent shell casings found nearby.
Police confirmed there are currently two persons of interest connected to the incident. However, no arrests have been made and no charges have been filed at this time.
Investigators say the case remains active as they work to determine what led up to the shooting and identify those responsible.
