Man arrested after laundromat burglary
MONTICELLO, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — A man has been arrested in connection with a burglary at a Monticello laundromat Thursday morning.
Police say 32-year-old Jacob Coffey was taken into custody after a coin machine was stolen from the Wash House Laundromat.
According to police, investigators received several tips from the public after posting on Facebook asking for help identifying the suspect. Those tips led officers to Coffey.
Police say they were later called after Coffey was spotted exchanging coins for cash at a Walmart Coinstar machine. Officers eventually found him at a Little Caesars drive-thru, where he was arrested.
Coffey is charged with third-degree burglary, possession of burglary tools and criminal mischief.
