Funeral plans announced for man found shot to death on Christmas Eve in Rowan County

ROWAN COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Funeral plans have been announced for a man found shot to death in his driveway on Christmas Eve in Rowan County.

According to the Rowan County Coroner’s Office, 39-year-old Christian Mabry was found shot to death last Wednesday in a driveway outside his home on Christy Creek Road in Morehead. ABC36 News Now first reported Mabry’s death on Christmas Day.

The coroner’s office says Mabry’s death is being investigated as a homicide. As of now, no suspect has been identified.

According to his obituary, Mabry was a carpenter by trade and worked in construction.

Officials say visitation for Mabry will be held Sunday, January 18, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. A celebration of life service will follow at Northcutt & Son Home for Funerals on Fraley Drive in Morehead.

The investigation into Mabry’s death remains ongoing.
