Bicyclist hospitalized after being hit by car in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — A bicyclist is in the hospital after being hit by a car Sunday evening in Lexington.

According to police, the crash happened around 6:30 p.m. on Georgetown Street near Newtown Pike.

Officers say the bicyclist was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say charges are not expected in the case.
