London man arrested following a domestic complaint Saturday morning
London, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — A London man was arrested early Saturday morning following a domestic complaint in Laurel County, according to the sheriff’s office.
Sheriff John Root said deputies were dispatched around 6 a.m. to Tim Bowman Drive, about seven miles northeast of London. When they arrived, deputies found 64-year-old Jasper McQueen outside a residence.
Investigators say McQueen allegedly threatened to kill a woman inside the home and to burn the residence down with her inside. Deputies also reported that McQueen stacked a wooden pallet beside the house in an apparent attempt to gain entry.
Authorities said McQueen was acting erratically, speaking rapidly, and displaying disorganized thoughts. He also admitted to using methamphetamine prior to deputies’ arrival.
McQueen was arrested and charged with third-degree terroristic threatening, second-degree criminal mischief, and public intoxication involving controlled substances. He was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
The investigation remains ongoing.
