Missing Kentucky Teen Found in Maryland; Man Arrested

GAITHERSBURG, Md. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — A 13-year-old Kentucky girl who had been missing for more than two months has been found in Maryland, and a man is now in custody, authorities said.

According to a press release from the Montgomery County Department of Police in Maryland, Wynter Wagoner of Rockcastle County was located Friday evening inside a home in the 12000 block of Dalewood Drive in Silver Spring, according to Montgomery County police. Officers responded around 5:52 p.m. after receiving a tip that the girl might be in the area.

Police, working with the U.S. Marshals Service, found Wagoner inside the residence with 37-year-old Christian Alexander Delgado. Delgado was taken into custody without incident.

Wagoner was transported to a local hospital for evaluation.

The Rockcastle County Sheriff’s Office has obtained a warrant charging Delgado with kidnapping. He is being held at the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit while awaiting extradition to Kentucky.

Wagoner had been reported missing since Oct. 14.
