Sexual assault at UK prompts crime bulletin
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – University of Kentucky Police issued a crime bulletin after a sexual assault was reported Friday night on campus.
Police say a female student was sexually assaulted in a dorm room by a man she knows, who is not a UK student.
UK police sent out safety tips, which include;
- If you see something, say something.
- Be an active bystander.
- If you think someone’s at-risk for sexual assault, consider it an emergency and get involved.
- Consent for sexual contact is not implied.
- Carry a cell phone.
- Download and use the ‘live safe’ application.
