Georgetown Police host Cram the Cruiser Event to benefit Scott County Animal Care

GEORGETOWN, KY. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – The Georgetown Police Department is reminding the community about its “Cram the Cruiser” event aimed at collecting much-needed supplies for Scott County Animal Care and Control.

Officers say a police cruiser will be parked outside the Walmart at 112 Osborne Way throughout the weekend to serve as a donation drop-off point. Community members are encouraged to stop by while shopping and help fill the cruiser with items for local animals in need.

Organizers say they are accepting donations of dog and cat food, toys, treats and blankets. Shoppers can place donated items directly into the back seat of the cruiser.

Police say the event is an easy way for residents to support Scott County Animal Care and Control and help provide comfort and care for animals awaiting adoption.
