Paramedic injured after suspect throws rock at passing ambulance in Lexington
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A paramedic is recovering after police say a man threw a rock at an out-of-county ambulance as it drove through Lexington late Friday morning.
According to Lexington Police, officers were called just before 10:30 a.m. to the area of Newtown Pike and New Circle Road after reports that a rock had been thrown at the passing ambulance. The rock shattered the windshield and injured the paramedic inside, officials said.
Police arrested 28-year-old Daniel Bryan a short time later. He was taken into custody and is being held at the Fayette County Detention Center. Officers say charges are pending. The condition of the injured paramedic has not yet been released.
