Mayor’s task force meets about homelessness
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Lexington’s Mayor’s Task Force on Homelessness is scheduled to meet Wednesday afternoon to continue its work on identifying solutions to reduce the city’s homeless population.
As previously reported, the task force is examining a range of strategies to address homelessness across the community. Wednesday’s meeting will focus on identifying who is most at risk of experiencing homelessness, available funding sources, and shelter models used in other cities.
The meeting is set for 3:30 p.m. at the Phoenix Building on East Vine Street. The task force is expected to review data and discuss next steps aimed at improving services and long-term housing options.
