Georgetown police host holiday “Cram the Cruiser” drive to help shelter animals
GEORGETOWN, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – The Georgetown Police Department is inviting the community to help support local shelter animals this holiday season through its annual “Cram the Cruiser” donation drive.
According to organizers, the event runs Friday through Sunday, Dec. 12–14, with officers collecting much-needed supplies for Scott County Animal Care and Control. A Georgetown police cruiser will be set up outside the Walmart at 112 Osborne Way, where shoppers can drop off donations throughout the weekend.
Police are asking community members to consider donating dog and cat food, toys, treats, and blankets to help animals currently in the shelter.
Organizers say the goal is to fill an entire cruiser with donated items to help ensure animals in Scott County have food, comfort and care during the winter months.
