Georgetown Police arrest The Grinch!

GEORGETOWN, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – The Georgetown Police Department added some humor and holiday cheer to the city’s Christmas parade Saturday night, announcing on social media that the “notorious Grinch” had been apprehended during the festivities.

In a Facebook post, police said Chief Darin Allgood personally took the Grinch into custody for “attempting to ruin the festivities.” The department jokingly added that he was “safely secured in our festive, temporary holding cell, where we hope the holiday spirit is contagious.”

The lighthearted post was shared following the city’s Christmas parade, which brought families and community members together to celebrate the season.

Georgetown police also thanked everyone who attended the event and wished the community a happy holiday season.
