Pet ball pythons removed from Lexington home will be up for adoption

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Several pet snakes removed from a Lexington home this week will soon be available for adoption, according to Lexington Animal Care and Control.

Officials say four ball pythons were removed from a home on Lansdowne Drive during an eviction earlier this week. Animal Care and Control took custody of the snakes and transported them to a shelter for care.

According to Animal Care and Control, the owner has agreed to surrender all four snakes. Once they are cleared and ready, the reptiles will be placed up for adoption through the Lexington Humane Society.

Officials have not released additional details about the conditions inside the home at the time of the removal.
