Downtown Frankfort Candelight Tours Kick Off This Week

If you’re looking to get into the holiday spirit, look no further than Frankfort. This week they deck the halls and ring in the season with their 33rd Annual Candlelight Tours through downtown.

The festivities kick off with a ceremony this Thursday at 5 pm. At 7 pm there will be a tree-lighting complete with carols provided by the Lexington Singers.

Other highlights of the weekend-long event include carriage rides, music from the Kentucky State University Marching Band and many other local groups, pictures with Santa, and gingerbread decorating.

The celebration is sponsored by Commonwealth Credit Union.
