UPDATE: Names of 2 men involved in deadly shooting in Knox Co. released

BARBOURVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ)- We now know the names of the two men involved in the shooting in Knox County Wednesday night.

State police says 57-year-old Glenn Edwards was pronounced dead at the scene by the Knox County coroner. The body will be sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort for an autopsy.

KSP says 71-year-old Glenn Powell was flown to the University of Tennessee Medical Center for his gunshot wound. They say Powell was the one who barricaded himself in his home on Higgins Hollow Road and later surrendered. He is in critical condition.

Troopers say charges are pending at this time.

Ky 3440 is now reopened.

BARBOURVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ)-  State police say two men have been shot and the coroner says one person has been pronounced dead after a barricade situation Wednesday night.

Deputies say the individual came out of the home after the barricade.

They say one person has been detained and taken to the hospital for injuries.

KY 3440 will be shut down for several hours.
