Kentucky to part ways with Mark Stoops after 13 seasons
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – Kentucky football is expected to part ways with head coach Mark Stoops, according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel.
Thamel reported that the process will formally play out on Monday, and added that Kentucky will owe Mark Stoops more than $37 million. On3’s Chris Low reported that Stoops would be willing to negotiate an agreement allowing the University to spread out payments over a number of years instead of 60 days.
Stoops went 82-80 overall in 13 seasons with Kentucky. He is the university’s all-time winningest coach.
