Shooting victim dies on the scene, investigation underway

MERCER COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Authorities in Mercer County are investigating a deadly shooting that happened over the weekend.

According to the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office, the shooting occurred around 10 a.m. Saturday on Battlefield Road in Harrodsburg. Deputies say the victim was found dead at the scene.

The sheriff’s office reports that suspects were detained, and a firearm was recovered as part of the investigation. No additional information has been released, including the victim’s identity.
