FCPS files eminent domain action for property near new RISE STEM Academy

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Fayette County Public Schools has filed a court action seeking eminent domain to secure property needed for construction of the new RISE STEM Academy for Girls, according to the district.

Officials say the property sits near the school’s construction site on Versailles Road, just off Mason Headley Road. The district says acquiring the land is necessary to support the project as work continues.
