Arrest warrant obtained for suspect in weekend shooting

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Investigators with the Lexington Police Department have obtained an arrest warrant for a man in connection with a weekend shooting.

In the early morning hours of Saturday, September 15, officers responded to the 2000-block of Paris Pike in reference to an assault with a weapon. A male and female couple was located with apparent gunshot wounds. The victims were transported to a local hospital and underwent treatment.

Investigators have obtained arrest warrants for 21-year-old Maxwell Wilburn for assault in connection with this case.
