Kentucky Parole Board to conduct full review this week for Ronald Exantus
FRANKFORT, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – The Kentucky Parole Board is set to conduct a full review Thursday for Ronald Exantus, the man released early from prison after serving less than half of his sentence in connection with the death of a 6-year-old Woodford County child.
As previously reported, Exantus was arrested last month in Marion County, Florida, for failing to register as a convicted felon following his mandatory supervision release.
According to the Kentucky Justice and Public Safety Cabinet, Exantus waived his right to a revocation hearing after being brought back to Kentucky.
In 2018, Exantus was found not guilty by reason of insanity in the 2015 stabbing death of 6-year-old Logan Tipton inside the family’s Versailles home. He was also found guilty but mentally ill for stabbing Tipton’s sisters and father.
Thursday’s review could determine how much additional time Exantus may spend back in custody.
