University of Kentucky to test full-scale crisis emergency response

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – The University of Kentucky is preparing for a campus-wide emergency scenario today as UK Police hold a full-scale training drill with local, state and federal emergency management officials.

According to the university, the exercise runs from 9 a.m. until noon and is designed to test UK’s emergency response procedures in a realistic crisis environment.

Officials say the drill will help strengthen coordination between campus police and partner agencies, ensuring they can respond effectively during a major emergency.
