Kentucky man, charged in the death of his stepson, faces bond hearing

BREATHITT COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A man, arrested in connection to the murder of his 10-year-old stepson, is due in court Tuesday in Breathitt County.

According to court records, Joshua Gross is scheduled for a bond hearing. Officials say he’s currently being held on a $1 million bond.

Gross, and his wife, 33-year-old Felica Gross, are charged in connection to the death of her son, Jayden Spicer. Felicia is charged with murder, Joshua is charged with complicity to murder.

State police say the child’s body was found buried in the woods near Jackson, nearly a week after the two reported him missing on August 6th.

According to KSP, Felicia Gross says she gave Jayden sleeping medication, which she says led to his death.

She’s due back in court in January for a pretrial conference.
