No. 2 Kentucky volleyball wins 9th straight SEC regular season title

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – After sweeping Arkansas 3-0 (25-16, 25-20, 25-12) in their final home match on Sunday afternoon, the Kentucky wildcats secured the 2025 SEC regular season championship for the ninth straight year.

The Wildcats had already clinched a share of the championship with Friday’s win over Oklahoma, but Sunday’s victory locked in the outright crown.

Kentucky honored one senior, Eva Hudson, who delivered a standout performance in her final match at historic Memorial Coliseum. Hudson hit .438 and led the team with 15 kills to cap off her career at Historical Memorial Coliseum.

As a team, Kentucky hit .447 for the match and totaled 48 kills.

The Wildcats close the regular season at 22-2 overall and a perfect 19-0 in conference play.

Next up, Kentucky heads to Savannah, Georgia, for the SEC Volleyball Tournament, returning for the first time in 20 years since it was last held in 2005.
