Richmond man charged with rape and sexual abuse of a minor, sheriff’s office says
RICHMOND, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A Richmond man is facing serious charges after an investigation into a domestic dispute led deputies to allegations of child sexual abuse, according to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say 35-year-old Jordan Lothridge was arrested Wednesday and is charged with first-degree rape and first-degree sexual abuse of a minor.
The sheriff’s office says the case began with a domestic dispute call in July. During that investigation, deputies were told about sexual abuse that allegedly happened inside the home. According to an arrest warrant, the suspected abuse occurred between June 10, 2024, and June 10, 2025.
Investigators say Lothridge denied the allegations and agreed to take a polygraph test, which he failed, according to the warrant.
He is being held at the Madison County Detention Center on a $75,000 cash bond.
