Free meals for Veterans Day

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Several restaurants are honoring those who served with free meals and special offers for veterans and active-duty military members.

Participating restaurants include Gold Star Chili and McDonald’s, where guests can receive a free meal with a valid military ID.

Meanwhile, Wawa is offering free cups of coffee to veterans and service members — no military ID required.

Businesses say the offers are a small way to show appreciation for the men and women who have served and continue to serve our country.
