Kentucky Humane Society helping families feed their pets

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – The Kentucky Humane Society is helping families who are struggling to feed their pets through its Pet Food Bank program.

Families in need of cat or dog food can fill out an online form to schedule an appointment with the KHS Pet Food Bank. Currently, the organization provides one free bag of pet food per household each month.

KHS says the program is made possible through donations from Humane World for Animals and Chewy, which recently supplied a full semi-truck of pet food and supplies.
