KSP searching for missing 11-year-old girl from Robertson County
ROBERTSON COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Kentucky State Police are searching for an 11-year-old girl reported missing Monday evening in Robertson County.
According to a release from KSP, troopers received a report around 5:45 p.m. from Lenora Thornsberry that her daughter, 11-year-old Addelyn Thornsberry, was missing.
Her mother told police that Addelyn had a cell phone with the Life360 tracking app installed, but she was unable to locate her using the app. Addelyn was last seen wearing a pink shirt, blue pants, and white tennis shoes.
Troopers, along with Robertson County Emergency Management, began a search of the area. Because of darkness and cold weather, KSP requested aircraft to assist with the aerial search.
Around 8:30 p.m., the family found a video posted earlier in the day by Addelyn suggesting she intended to run away. KSP obtained the video and continued search operations through the night, but the aerial search did not produce any results.
Police say several tips have been investigated, but Addelyn remains missing. She has been entered as a missing person in the National Crime Information Center database.
Anyone with information on Addelyn Thornsberry’s whereabouts is urged to contact KSP Post 6 at (859) 428-1212 or local law enforcement.
