KSP: Murder suspect found dead after Meade County homicide investigation

UPDATE:

EKRON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Kentucky State Police say a man wanted in connection with a Meade County murder has been found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

According to an updated release from KSP, troopers and detectives located 45-year-old Scott Hornback Monday night around 9:30 p.m. inside a vehicle at a family member’s residence on Burgundy Lane. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the Meade County Coroner.

KSP says Hornback was wanted in connection with the death of 55-year-old Mary Crase of Brandenburg. Earlier that day, just before 1:00 p.m., Meade County deputies discovered Crase deceased at a home on Simpson Lane in the Ekron community. Detectives determined she had been shot at least once.

The investigation remains ongoing by KSP.

MEADE COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW)– A man wanted in connection to a murder in Meade County has been found dead.

According to ABC affiliate WHAS 11, state police say 45-year-old Scott Hornback was found dead Monday night from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

KSP says Hornback was wanted in connection to the murder of 55-year-old Mary Crase.

Investigators say Crase was found shot to death Monday inside a home on Simpson Lane, in the Ekron community.
