Candidate to challenge London mayor in election

LONDON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A new candidate is entering the race for mayor of London. Matt Orr has officially announced he will challenge current Mayor Randall Weddle in the upcoming election.

In a post shared earlier this week, Orr thanked his supporters for their encouragement and said his campaign will focus on addressing the needs of London residents. He also responded to what he described as false claims being spread about him, calling himself an “open book” and encouraging voters to learn about him directly.

Orr says his campaign is about “putting London first,” not choosing sides, as he prepares to face off against the incumbent in what’s expected to be a closely watched race.
