LCSO: Woman admits to using meth prior to arrest

LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ) – A woman who tried to get into a vehicle that didn’t belong to her and didn’t know what town she was in, admitted to using meth, according to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say 44-year old April Johnson, of Corbin, was unsteady on her feet and appeared confused at the time of her arrest Monday.

She was charged with public intoxication-controlled substances and deputies say she had an outstanding arrest warrant for not showing up to court on previous charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence-first offense and other violations.

She was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
