Frankfort police investigating distribution of KKK propaganda across neighborhoods
FRANKFORT, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – The Frankfort Police Department says it is investigating after Ku Klux Klan propaganda was found littered across parts of the community overnight.
In a social media post, the department called it “an appalling act of littering” and said it “does not tolerate hate in any form.” Police said the material violates the values of the community and that they are taking the matter very seriously.
Officials are asking for the public’s help identifying whoever is responsible. Residents in affected neighborhoods who have home or doorbell cameras are encouraged to review their footage and contact police if they have any relevant video.
Anyone with information or footage can call the department’s nonemergency line at 502-875-8582. Police say allowing them to review footage could help identify those involved.
