Versailles police investigating juvenile stabbing at Big Spring Park

VERSAILLES, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Versailles police say one juvenile was stabbed during an altercation at Big Spring Park on Tuesday evening.

According to a post from the Versailles Police Department, officers responded to the park around 6:03 p.m. Tuesday, for a report of a stabbing. When officers arrived, they determined there had been a fight between two juveniles that ended with one being stabbed. Police said the victim’s injuries were not life-threatening.

Investigators said the juveniles involved know each other and are cooperating with police. The department emphasized there is no threat to the public.

Because the investigation is ongoing and involves minors, police said no additional details are being released at this time.
