Deputies arrest man after “road rage shooting incident”

PAINTSVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ)- The Martin County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man in what they call a road rage shooting incident.

They say it began in Johnson County, continued into Lawrence County where they say 63-year-old Billy York shot at a car filled with people, almost hitting a five-year-old.

Deputies say that car followed York into Martin County, talking to police dispatchers the entire time giving them York’s location.

Deputies say that led to a chase with speeds over 100 miles per hour that ended with York’s arrest.

Investigators say they found shell casings in his car along with two guns, one of them a rifle.
