Lane closures on I-64 in Franklin County for bridge inspections through October 22

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — Drivers traveling through Franklin County this week should prepare for delays on Interstate 64.

According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, lane closures begin Monday on both the eastbound and westbound sides near mile marker 55.5 — between the U.S. 127 and U.S. 60 exits.

Crews will be conducting routine inspections on the twin bridges over the Kentucky River. The lane closures will be in effect daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through October 22.

Officials urge drivers to slow down, watch for workers, and expect traffic slowdowns in the area while inspections are underway.
