Water Main break causes disruptions

MAYSVILLE, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – A main water line break in Maysville is causing major service disruptions Thursday, according to the Maysville Utility Department.

Crews are currently repairing the break near AA Highway and Medical Park Drive. Officials say the work could take several hours to complete.

Once service is restored, residents from Moody Drive to Old Main Street, and from U.S. 62/68 to Clyde T. Barbour, will be under a boil water advisory. The utility department will collect water samples as soon as possible, with test results expected within 24 to 72 hours.

Officials urge residents to continue boiling water until the advisory is lifted.
