Beshear to speak alongside Biden at fundraiser

OMAHA, NE. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear is set to appear alongside former President Joe Biden at the Nebraska Democratic Party’s largest annual fundraiser this November. According to ABC affiliate WHAS 11 News, the Ben Nelson Gala is scheduled for November 7 in Omaha. Biden will make his first in-person Democratic Party appearance since leaving office, while Beshear’s attendance has sparked speculation about a potential 2028 presidential run.

When asked about his political future, Beshear said, “Right now, again, I’m trying to be that reasonable voice in the chaos.” He emphasized his focus on 2026, leading the Democratic Governors Association and helping Democrats win statewide races. Beshear added that after 2026, he and his family will consider “who is the best candidate to heal this country.”
