Fayette County Clerk’s Office to temporarily close for renovations in early November

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — The Fayette County Clerk’s Office will temporarily close next month to allow for renovation work.

According to County Clerk Susan Lamb, the office at 162 East Main Street will close to the public — except for the Elections Department — at noon on Thursday, November 6, and will reopen Wednesday, November 12, at 8 a.m.

During the closure, LexPark will also shut down the nearby Helix parking garage for a resurfacing project.

Officials encourage residents to renew vehicle registrations online at www.drive.ky.gov.

The Elections Department will remain open at the county’s election warehouse on November 6, 7, and 10 for candidates who need to pick up or submit filing forms for the 2026 Primary Election. For more information, call 859-253-3344 and select option 2.
