Somerset man charged with murder after deadly shooting in Pulaski County
SOMERSET, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office says a Somerset man is behind bars after an early morning shooting left another man dead.
According to Sheriff Bobby Jones, deputies responded to a home on Dogwood Lane around 12:35 a.m. Wednesday after receiving reports of a shooting. When they arrived, they found 39-year-old Adam Roark of Somerset in the driveway with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving efforts from EMS, Roark was pronounced dead at the scene by the Pulaski County Coroner’s Office.
Deputies say 40-year-old James Gleason of Somerset was found outside his home when officers arrived. He was detained for questioning and later charged with murder and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
Gleason is being held in the Pulaski County Detention Center on a $1 million bond.
The investigation is ongoing.
