Six Month long narcotics investigation leads to dozens of arrests

WINCHESTER, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — A six-month investigation into narcotics trafficking in Clark County has led to dozens of arrests and major drug seizures, according to Winchester Police.

Investigators say the effort involved multiple agencies, including the Clark County Sheriff’s Office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). So far, 27 people have been arrested or cited, and two search warrants have been executed.

During the investigation, officers seized more than 1,000 grams of methamphetamine, 72 grams of heroin and fentanyl, five firearms, and over $5,000 in cash — with an estimated street value of nearly $30,000.

Police say more arrests are expected as the investigation continues.
