Man faces terroristic threatening charge due to Halloween display

STANTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — A Powell County man is facing serious charges after police say he used Halloween decorations to threaten local government officials.

According to Kentucky State Police, troopers arrested 58-year-old Stephan Marcum on Saturday after finding what appeared to be threatening Halloween decorations in his yard near the intersection of Court Street and North Main Street in Stanton.

Investigators say the display included what looked like body bags and allegedly indicated threats toward several government officials in the county.

Marcum is charged with terroristic threatening and intimidating a witness. The investigation is ongoing.
