Pennsylvania fugitive captured in Kentucky after multi-state search
MAYSVILLE, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) — A multi-state investigation has ended in Kentucky after police tracked down a Pennsylvania man wanted hundreds of miles from home.
According to Scottdale Borough Police in Pennsylvania, officers — along with Kentucky State Police and the Maysville Police Department — arrested Shawn Michael Prince at a hotel in Maysville. Prince was wanted in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.
Investigators say they worked through the night, tracing the couple’s car using roadside cameras in Morehead and coordinating with agencies across Kentucky and Tennessee. The search led officers to a hotel in Maysville, where they located the vehicle and executed a search warrant.
Police say Prince was arrested without incident and now awaits extradition to Pennsylvania. Lydia Prince, who was with him, was found safe and reunited with her family.
