Kentucky falls on the road to South Carolina

COLUMBIA, Sc. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – Kentucky dropped their second SEC game of the year to South Carolina 28-13 on Saturday night. The Wildcats started off the game well, scoring on their opening drive, but things went sideways after that. The Wildcats had four turnovers on their five possessions in the second quarter, with two being returned for touchdowns, that ultimately led to a loss for Kentucky in Columbia.

Boley, in his first SEC start, looked good at times, but pressure from the Gamecocks led to some turnovers for the young quarterback in tonight’s game. Boley finished 10/19 for 124 yards with zero touchdowns and two interceptions.

Running back Seth McGowan had another strong out for the Wildcats. McGowan had 17 carries for 112yards and one touchdown. He now has 387 rushing yards with seven touchdowns through for games with Kentucky.

The Wildcats will return to action next Saturday, October 4th, at Georgia. The game will be played at noon live on ABC 36.
