KSP honors troopers, detectives and officers
FRANKFORT, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Gov. Andy Beshear and the Beshear-Coleman administration honored 61 Kentucky State Police troopers, detectives, and officers Thursday during the annual KSP Awards Ceremony.
The ceremony recognized heroic acts and lifesaving efforts throughout 2024. Trooper Nicholas Taylor was named Trooper of the Year, while Detective Nathan Moore received Detective of the Year. Others were awarded citations for bravery and lifesaving medals.
Gov. Beshear praised the troopers for their dedication to keeping Kentucky communities safe. In 2023, KSP responded to more than 400,000 calls, protecting schools, churches, and local neighborhoods.
