Lexington Animal Care and Control searching for owner of exotic bird

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) – Animal Care and Control crews in Lexington are trying to locate the owner of an exotic diamond dove recently found in poor condition.

Officials say the bird was discovered near Sir Pizza on New Circle Road. Diamond doves are not native to Kentucky and are typically kept as pets.

Animal Care and Control is asking anyone with information about the dove’s owner to contact their office.
