Plane crashes into Kentucky home after overshooting runway
MAYFIELD, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – Investigators in Graves County say a small plane crashed into a home near the airport Thursday after failing to stop at the end of the runway.
According to the Graves County Sheriff’s Office, the plane landed but continued through a grassy area, broke through a fence, crossed State Highway 58, and ultimately struck a house.
Deputies said the person inside the home at the time was not injured. The pilot, who was the only person on board the plane, also escaped without injury.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
