Lexington police arrest suspect in Winburn Drive shooting
LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) — One person has been arrested in connection with a Thursday shooting on Winburn Drive, according to a release from the Lexington Police Department.
Police said the shooting happened just after 11 a.m. in the area of Winburn Drive and McCullough Drive, where officers found a man with a gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
According to the release, detectives identified 20-year-old Jon’Tay Mattingly as a suspect. He was arrested later that evening and charged with first-degree assault and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon.
